I was born and raised in Richmond, Ind. I’ve enjoyed the rootedness that comes from grown up in the Midwest even as my journey has taken me throughout the globe, while living currently in Los Angeles. It is my firm belief that community, connection, and dialogue are grounding elements for flourishing in today’s frenetic world. Much of the ills of society, and on a global scale come down to disconnection (i.e. not knowing our neighbor), and a lack of engagement opportunities for people coming from different experiences. My professional life has largely been directed at curbing these ills at the paradox of (arguably) the most resource-rich zip code in the world with some of the most-marginalized people in this city. I believe we all have not only the capacity for seeking justice for others, but also the desire. Join me in leaning into the uncomfortable journey that is the flourishing life.
